The “Youth Leadership Speech Training Program 2024”, organized by the Macau Speech Professionals Association and funded by the Macao Foundation, celebrated its graduation ceremony in late August at the City University of Macau.

This program, now in its second iteration, focused on event planning and conference management, offering a comprehensive 30-hour curriculum. The training covered essential topics such as team communication, leadership speaking, project planning, work reporting, public relations etiquette and business presentations.

Thirty young leaders were carefully selected to participate. Upon completion of the program, the participants were divided into groups to design roadshow projects, applying their newly acquired skills and knowledge to showcase their achievements during the graduation ceremony. Feedback from the participants indicated that the course content was highly beneficial for their personal and professional development.

To facilitate practical application of the skills learned, the association provided various hands-on platforms and established connections with businesses to create additional employment opportunities.

President Maggie Chan expressed her gratitude for the successful organization of the event, attributing its success to the support from the government, co-organizers, partners, supporting units, educational institutions and the broader community. She hoped the program would continue to nurture young leaders, foster civic progress and enhance professional skills.
