A member of Melco Resorts & Entertainment’s F&B team recently clinched the Men’s Championship title at the 2024 World Tourism Day Tray Race. The event was organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office and took place in late September at the Ruins of St. Paul’s.

Melco entered a total of 31 employees in the competition, with 19 competing in the men’s division and 12 in the women’s division. In the race, participants balanced a tray holding a bottle of Macau Beer as they dashed through the streets of the Historic Centre of Macau. The goal was to safely deliver the beer to the finish line at Senado Square as quickly as possible, adding an element of excitement to the event.

Melco Studio City’s In-Room Dining team member, Rocky Wu, emerged victorious in the men’s division. Melco noted that this achievement highlights the professionalism and dedication of its employees in delivering attentive and high-quality service, underscoring the company’s commitment to providing exceptional service to every guest.

Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff to Melco Chairman & CEO, remarked, “We are honored to continue supporting MGTO’s annual Tray Race on World Tourism Day to promote ‘Tourism+’ and the diversified elements of Macau.

“The event is a great chance for our colleagues to not only showcase their professional competence but also a fantastic opportunity for team bonding and internal training. Congratulations to all our team on their hard work and achievements, especially to Rocky on his winning the male category race.”

During the competition, Melco also participated in the new “Mascot Fun Run” added this year, with the company mascot “CoCo” participating to enhance Melco’s brand visibility among both locals and tourists.
