- MGM unveiled a new VR interactive game at the Macao Grand Prix Museum.
- The game aims to bring fun and joy to locals and visitors, enhancing the charm of the tourist hotspot and Macau’s international tourism image.
MGM and the Macao Grand Prix Museum have introduced a new VR interactive game on the museum’s first floor, titled “VR F3 Pit Stop Challenge”. The game will remain in place from November 2023 until February 2025.
In the game, players take on the role of a pit crew member, tasked with changing tires during a Formula 3 race pit stop. Equipped with VR goggles, participants experience the high-octane excitement of Formula 3 racing from a first-person perspective. The challenge requires players to complete two tire changes within two minutes, with rankings determined by the fastest times.
MGM said the initiative aims to bring fun and joy to locals and visitors, enhancing the charm of this tourist hotspot as well as Macau’s international tourism image.
To promote the new attraction, MGM invited top drivers it sponsors in this year’s races to try out the game, spotlighting it to a global audience. The line-up included Christoper Haase from Phantom Global Racing – who was competing in the “Macau GT Cup – FIA GT World Cup”, FHO Racing BMW Motorrad’s four top riders in the 56th Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix in Peter Hickman, Michael Rutter, Davey Todd and Craig Neve, as well as independent biker Sam West.
The drivers raced on the Guia Circuit this year wearing helmets, race suits and gear specially designed by local and international artists with intellectual disabilities. The meaningful collaboration brings inclusive art to the global stage while promoting the message of integration and unity.
This year is also MGM’s 11th consecutive year of inviting local individuals with intellectual disabilities to watch the races live.
