During the Chinese New Year festivities, Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace hosted a series of celebratory events, including festive dragon and lion dances and the lighting of firecrackers, creating a vibrant festive atmosphere for both residents and visitors.
On the sixth and seventh days of Chinese New Year (3 and 4 February), Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace held their New Year celebrations. The festivities commenced with a Dragon and Lion Eye-Dotting Ceremony, officiated by the management team. As the rhythmic sounds of drums and gongs filled the air, the dragon and lion dance troupes sprang to life, while firecrackers crackled in the background.
Following the performances, the troupes paraded through both resorts, presenting the traditional “Plucking the Green” ritual.
In addition, Wynn properties were adorned with elaborate festive decorations to welcome the new year. Popular attractions such as the “Tree of Prosperity” and “Goldfish Aquarium” at Wynn Macau drew many visitors.
As part of its annual tradition, Wynn also participated in the “Parade for Celebration of the Year of the Snake 2025” organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO). This year’s float, themed “Wynn Carnival of Events”, was designed with auspicious elements, including golden serpents, ingots and lanterns. The float also featured dynamic performances inspired by sports such as golf, basketball and motor racing, reflecting Macau’s vibrant sports culture.
Additionally, a special cultural showcase featuring traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean dance was staged to celebrate Macau’s designation as the “Culture City of East Asia 2025”. The parade concluded with a Chinese dance performance inspired by the paintings of Qi Baishi, paying tribute to Macau’s deep-rooted cultural ties with China.
Wynn expressed its hope that these festive celebrations would bring joy and prosperity to both residents and visitors, wishing everyone a prosperous, healthy and fulfilling Year of the Snake.
