GEG jointly organized the “2024 Macau Brand Pavilion Dianping VIP Day Carnival” to boost business for local SMEs

  • This season’s event introduces five new travel routes that showcase not only fun attractions but over 300 local shops and brands.
  • In the first season of the event merchants achieved a 134% increase in order volume compared to the previous period.

The “2024 Macau Brand Pavilion Dianping VIP Day Carnival”, jointly organized by the Industry and Commerce Association of Macau, Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce (GFIC), Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) and the General Association of Macau Guangzhou Associations, with Meituan serving as a special cooperation platform, is currently being held online.

Running from 14 to 28 May, the event features 14 consecutive days of VIP treatment. During this period, users who log into the “Macau Brand Pavilion” on the Dianping app can participate in a draw to win prizes. The Brand Pavilion also features initiatives such as “Macau Food Check-in” and “Macau Travel Check-in” to encourage users to share their food and travel experiences, thereby boosting product sales. Users who complete tasks such as checking in and sharing will have the chance to win exciting rewards sponsored by GEG.

Kevin Ho, Director of the Industry and Commerce Association of Macau, stated that during the first season of the event, merchants achieved a 134% increase in order volume compared to the previous period, and storefront collections increased by 330,000, yielding excellent results. This second season’s event, featuring “Macau City Walk”, introduces five new travel routes that highlight not only fun attractions but also over 300 recommended Macau specialty food stores, clothing shops and retail outlets, showcasing Macau’s charm to more consumers.

Philip Cheng, Director of GEG, emphasized that SMEs are crucial to Macau’s economic diversification. Through this carnival, GEG aims to help SMEs explore mainland market opportunities and promote Macau’s unique tourism products, further establishing Macau as a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure”.
