SJM Resorts, S.A. (SJM) leverages on Macau’s unique role as a gateway between East and West and as a key hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, actively driving “go global” and “bring in investments” initiatives.

In April, SJM participated in the 5th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) and the mega roadshow “Journey to Experience Macao,” organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) in Tokyo, Japan. These initiatives align with the government’s “Tourism+” development strategy, actively expanding visitor sources and contributing to the establishment of Macau as a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure”.
SJM marks Macau’s first integrated tourism and leisure enterprise presence at CICPE
CICPE was held in Hainan from 13 to 18 April. As one of China’s “Big Four” national expos, CICPE serves as a gateway to the international market with a national reach across the country. This year’s exhibition gathered top-tier international brands. Attracting over 1,700 exhibitors from 71 countries and regions, it was the largest in its history. In addition, SJM’s booth attracted over 50,000 visitors, as well as domestic and international media for interactions, providing them with an in-depth understanding of SJM’s diverse products and services.

Through its participation in exciting events organized by CICPE, including business matching platforms, SJM connected with nearly 100 partners and clients from the United Kingdom, France, Singapore and mainland China, resulting in productive meetings. SJM successfully showcased Macau’s diverse appeal as a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure” and its unique “Tourism+” integrated resort experience to a global audience. This solidified its industry leadership, fostering domestic and international collaboration as well as generating new business opportunities, effectively attracting more global tourists and investors to Macau.

Daisy Ho, Managing Director of SJM, said, “As the only integrated tourism and leisure enterprise from Macau at this year’s CICPE, SJM is proud to represent the city and showcase its distinct urban appeal. The Expo plays a vital role in stimulating domestic demand and supporting high-quality development, with this year’s focus on key sectors including health, wellness, cultural tourism and sports – areas that are highly aligned with SJM’s strong commitment to integrated development.
“We look forward to joining hands with mainland and global brands to explore new markets, inject momentum into Macau’s ‘1+4’ diversification and further enhance China’s consumer appeal on the world stage.”
