- Launch of China’s Shenzhou-23 crewed spacecraft reignites nation’s fascination with outer space.
- Program includes “Macau Youth Creative Design Competition of Space Experiment” and “Aerospace Scenario Experience Camp”.
MGM is expanding the local youth’s horizons to the stars for the third consecutive year, partnering with the Association for Promotion of Science and Technology of Macau (MAPST) and the Chinese Society of Astronautics (CSA) to present “MGM Youth Popular Science Series: Macau Space Dream Project”.

This year’s program offers primary school participants a full-day study experience in Zhuhai Aerospace Land and a trip for winning secondary school teams to Beijing for an in-depth aerospace tour.
Running for six months, the project is comprised of the “Macau Youth Creative Design Competition of Space Experiment” – for Form 2 to 5 students, and the “Aerospace Scenario Experience Camp” – for Primary 5 and 6 students. The design competition attracted 160 students in 44 teams, providing both online and in-person training on space experiments and payload case studies. The aerospace experience camp gathered together 58 primary school students, who toured China’s first large-scale aerospace exhibition hall, assembled spacecraft models and experienced a space simulation cabin.

At the opening ceremony at MGM COTAI, Kenneth Feng, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited said, “The successful launch of China’s Shenzhou-23 crewed spacecraft demonstrates the technological strength of the nation’s human spaceflight program and has once again fueled our passion for space exploration. Set against the backdrop of China’s aerospace development blueprint, the Macau Space Dream Project is a meaningful step in nurturing young people’s scientific literacy and spirit of exploration.”
