To welcome the Macau Grand Prix 70th anniversary – which will occur in November this year – the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong have cooperated for the first time, exhibiting eight wax figures of world-renowned racing drivers at the Macau Grand Prix Museum from 27 March.

The wax figures of the famous eight racing drivers on display are: John MacDonald, Ron Haslam, Ayrton Senna, Sebastian Vettel, Michael Rutter, Lewis Hamilton, Robert Huff and Edoardo Mortara. All of them are internationally famous racers, and most have won numerous Grand Prix.

Vice President of the Automobile General Association Macao-China, Roberto Carlos Osorio, said that he has learned from racers that participating in the Macau Grand Prix is a common goal. “The excitement and challenges brought by the Guia circuit are hard to find on any other tracks.”

He pointed out, “The Macau Grand Prix is a symbolic event in Macau, and the Grand Prix Museum allows everyone to experience the atmosphere of the Grand Prix even if it is not during the time the Grand Prix is being held.”

The eight new wax figures of the racers in the Macau Grand Prix Museum are destined to become a new tourist attraction in Macau, which will help promote Macau’s diversified tourism products, and promote Macau’s development of the “sports + tourism” concept, taking advantage of the internationally-known Grand Prix brand.
