In order to strengthen the promotion of children’s literature published in Macau, the Cultural Affairs Bureau will organize eight parent-child experience activities at the House of Macao Literature from May to December this year, leading participants to explore the joy of reading Macau children’s literature and teaching storytelling skills.
The activity is called “Being a Little Master of Storytelling – Finding the Mysteries of Children’s Literature”. The first activity, themed “Folk tale”, will run from May to July followed by themes in science discovery, moral education, biography and patriotism.
The activity is taking place between May and December, on one Saturday of each month from 3pm to 5pm at the House of Macao Literature. It is design for children aged 6 to 9, and children must be accompanied by a parent. The event is free of charge and registration is now open.
The Cultural Affairs Bureau said, “The activity focuses on children’s literary stories with different themes. The instructor interprets the content of the works in a lively and interesting way and teaches touching stories that everyone wants to hear. Participants will also have the opportunity to practice on the spot.”
