GEG supports the Macao Government Tourism Office to diversify visitor source markets

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has demonstrated its support for the Macau SAR Government’s efforts to diversify the city’s visitor source markets by taking part in a series of promotional tourism activities in mainland China and other places.

Joining the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) in showcasing Macau’s charm to the world, GEG’s most recent activities have included joining “Macao Week in Shandong•Qingdao” from 8 to 12 June. Staged at the Olympic Sailing Centre in the Southern District of Qingdao, the GEG booth at the roadshow featured the iconic gold decorations and Fortune Diamond of Galaxy Macau, interactive experiences and peacock dance performances among other exciting attractions.

“Macao Week in Shandong•Qingdao” was the second such event in which GEG has participated this month after it also joined the “Experience Macao Unlimited Mega Roadshow” in Bangkok, which aimed to captivate Thai audiences and Southeast Asian travel enthusiasts by showcasing the wonders of Macau. The booth design in Thailand was inspired by the brand-new Galaxy Arena with an interactive area that featured a superstar stage and powerful lights to make guests feel like they were on the Galaxy Arena stage.

Earlier in April, GEG followed the MGTO to Lisbon, Portugal for “Experience Macao Unlimited – Macao Exhibition in Lisbon” at the historic Praça do Comércio (Commercial Plaza). GEG’s exhibition featured themed areas and eye-catching booths crafted from repurposed cargo containers and adorned with lights and colorful accents to create a rainbow effect – symbolizing Galaxy Macau’s multi-faceted approach to luxury. A mesmerizing laser light show highlighted Macau’s rich cultural heritage while the GEG booth featured a unique photo zone themed after Galaxy Macau’s Grand Resort Deck — a world-leading skytop water park.

Since last year, GEG has also participated in the “Experience Macao, Unlimited” Caravan Roadshow Series in visiting nine cities across the Greater Bay Area and highlighting the diversity of Macau as a travel destination.
