“Arraial na Ervanários” combines innovative technology to enhance entertainment experience

The Macao Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT) launched “Arraial na Ervanários” 2023, combined with a series of cat-based innovative technological activities, setting up a large “naked-eye” 3D screen “Mao Mao 3D Theater” in Rua dos Ervanários near Ponte 16 at Macau’s inner harbor.

Since 2021, DSEDT has jointly organized a series of community tourism activities with regional chambers of commerce. The new issue of “Arraial na Ervanários” for 2023 will use cats as a theme, with multiple large-scale check-in locations and event-specific apps.

The large “naked-eye” 3D screen “Mao Mao 3D Theater” was set up in “Arraial na Ervanários”, with a screening time from 10am to 8pm daily. Residents and tourists can take pictures of the “Curious Cat” fog screen projection and the “Alley Cat” LED archway. There are a variety of ways to participate in the event, including online check-in and photo sharing. Visitors can also collect electronic stamps, accumulate points and get lucky draw opportunities.

At the opening ceremony of “Arraial na Ervanários” 2023, Tai Kin Ip, Director of the DSEDT, said that the SAR government is committed to promoting community economic development and supporting SMEs to apply technology to achieve business and management innovation.

He went on to say, “It is hoped that with the joint efforts of the government, Chambers of Commerce and merchants, activities can continue to stimulate the consumption atmosphere in Arraial na Ervanários, attract traffic, promote consumption, and revitalize the economy.”
