Society of Food and Environmental Health hold a food safety seminar for Fu Hong Training Tea Shop

Recently opened “Cha de Arco-iris” is a tea shop under the Fuhong Society of Macau, and it is also the first vocational training tea shop in Macau designed for people with disabilities. Last week the Fuhong Society and the Society of Food and Environmental Health together held a briefing session to share food safety knowledge for their vocational trainees and staff.

Un Yan Yan, President of the Society of Food and Environmental Health, visited “Cha de Arco-iris” tea shop to explain and share food safety knowledge to a group of vocational trainees and staff. At the same time, Un Yan Yan also explained to the trainees how to handle the processing of tea and food ingredients safely and hygienically, shared some methods of preserving ingredient freshness and answered questions on food safety, clarifying any misunderstandings encountered by staff during the food handling process.

The Fuhong Society said that the Society of Food and Environmental Health has been providing and sharing food safety knowledge. The practical knowledge has helped students and staff maintain a hygienic and safe operation since the opening of “Cha de Arco-iris” tea shop on 30 June 2023.

The tea shop is the first vocational training tea shop in Macau with a purpose of providing vocational training for people with disabilities. This helps develop personal skills and skills to aid integration into society.
