GEG donates MOP700,000 to charity – twice in one day!

In order to support the large-scale fundraising activities held this year by Tung Sin Tong and the Charity Fund from the Readers of Macao Daily News, GEG donated MOP 700,000 to each of the two charities on November 23, contributing to the “Walk for a Million” fundraising event and the Tung Sin Tong Annual fundraising campaign.

Organised by the Charity Fund from the Readers of Macao Daily News, the “Walk for a Million” fundraising event is a local large-scale annual charity event and this year marks its 40th edition. GEG has supported the landmark charity event for no less than 20 consecutive years. This year, GEG donated MOP 700,000 to the Charity Fund and will organize 1,500 to 1,800 employees to take part in the charity walk.

In order to raise funds for charity projects and expenses incurred in expanding and optimizing a range of projects, Macau Tung Sin Tong organizes a fund raising campaign every year. GEG has provided support to Tung Sin Tong annual fundraising campaign for 20 consecutive years, since 2004. GEG’s donation supports Tung Sin Tong’s continued contribution to the sustainable development of Macau and promotes the spirit of charity.

GEG supports Grand Thought Think Tank inauguration ceremony and seminar

On September 12, the swearing-in ceremony for the fourth-term governing bodies of the Grand Thought Think Tank, along with a seminar titled “New Opportunities and Pathways for Macau’s Development under the New Blueprint of the 15th Five-Year Plan”, was held at Banyan Tree Macau. Organized by Grand Thought Think Tank with partial funding from the Macao Foundation, the event received GEG’s venue support through the “GEG Venue Partnership Pilot Program”. Around 180 representatives from various sectors, organizations, and higher education institutions attended to discuss Macau’s future development opportunities.
