Studio City wins PATA Gold Award for best marketing for second consecutive year

Melco Resorts & Entertainment’s Studio City Water Park recently won the “Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Award 2024” for best Hospitality Marketing.

The award was chosen by an international independent jury of PATA representatives, with Studio City Water Park standing out among over 100 submissions from 47 travel companies and individuals.

Melco said that to promote the official opening of Studio City’s all-weather indoor water park, the company launched a multi-faceted online and offline marketing campaign in 2023. The aim was to create a lasting impression and attract regional tourists to experience it firsthand.

Lawrence Ho, Chairman and CEO of Melco, noted that Studio City’s eye-catching and memorable marketing campaign successfully showcased the excitement of its unparalleled indoor water park while reinforcing the property’s positioning as Asia’s entertainment capital.

“The honor further underlined Melco’s unwavering commitment to the continued growth and diversification of the city’s tourism industry through substantial and ongoing investment in the city’s future,” Ho said.

“We are honored for Studio City to receive this marketing award from PATA for the second year running, and we are grateful to PATA Gold Awards and the event’s long-term sponsor, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), for the accolade.”

Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the MGTO, remarked that this year’s PATA Gold Award winners have introduced a colorful array of outstanding initiatives in marketing, as well as in sustainability and social responsibility within the tourism industry, deserving of admiration.
