Following several rounds of intense competition, 16 contestants made it to the finals. Jason Wang from Table Games and Yowared Chuklang from Spa stood out with their excellent cooking skills and won the championships of Chinese Hometown Dish and Non-Chinese Hometown Dish respectively.

Wang, an enthusiastic cook, dedicated a month to perfecting his dish “Bo Bo Chicken (Delicious Skewers)” and expressed gratitude to the company for organizing the competition, which he found enjoyable. Meanwhile, Chuklang impressed the judges with her “Squid with Green Curry Sauce and Rice Noodles”, earning her the “Best Presentation Award”. She shared that her colleagues had encouraged her to participate after tasting her hometown dishes, and she was thrilled to win, thanking her colleagues for their support.

Kenneth Feng, President and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, said, “MGM has organized various activities to encourage team members to maintain work-life balance, while enhancing our team members’ sense of belonging at work. The Employee Culinary Contest has embodied MGM’s family-like culture.

“While preparing the dishes of their home town during the competition, the participants introduced the culture and culinary specialties of their home town to each other, which also helped foster cultural exchange among them. Furthermore, the competition truly reflects Macau’s culinary diversity as a ‘Creative City of Gastronomy’ where East meets West.”
