Wynn Palace recently welcomed 105 professors and students from a joint EMBA program between Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) and the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).

During the visit, the group participated in a panel discussion moderated by Stéphane Haddad, Associate Dean of Executive Education Programs. Several senior executives from Wynn, including Dr Barry Ip, Vice President of Learning and Advancement, Angel Vong, Vice President of Finance, and Charles Bell, Vice President of Retail, joined the session. Key topics included talent development, corporate culture, business management strategies, and insights into Wynn’s retail operations and the broader retail landscape.

Wynn noted that the discussion not only fostered a valuable exchange of ideas but also provided EMBA students with the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge from industry experts. This interaction deepened their understanding of managing high-end integrated resorts and navigating the evolving tourism sector.

Following the panel, the group was given a behind-the-scenes tour of Wynn’s core areas, including hotel rooms, dining outlets, entertainment facilities and back-of-house operations. This offered them a closer look at the complexities of running a large-scale integrated resort and the foundational principles of Wynn’s corporate culture.

The group also visited Rua da Felicidade, a historic neighborhood revitalized through a partnership between Wynn and the Macau government, to explore its cultural and developmental significance.

Accompanied by guides from the Oral History Association of Macao and Wynn’s team, participants gained a deeper appreciation of the history and heritage of both Macau and Rua da Felicidade.

The EMBA cohort remarked that the combination of academic insights with hands-on exploration provided a profound and well-rounded learning experience, making the visit especially impactful.
