- GEG hosted the “GEG SME Series: Quality Enhancement Certification Program” award ceremony.
- The event supports local SMEs in obtaining both local and international professional certifications.
In 2024, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) launched the “GEG SME Series: Quality Enhancement Certification Program”, providing subsidies for eligible local supplier partners to attend international and local quality management training courses offered by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) to obtain relevant SME international professional certifications and the “M-Mark” Macau Product Qualify Certification respectively.
To commend nearly 40 supplier partners who successfully achieved these certifications through the program, GEG held a certificate presentation ceremony at the Galaxy International Convention Center. The event included booth displays and experience-sharing sessions, promoting knowledge exchange among supplier partners and exploring new business opportunities. Around 150 attendees participated in the event.
The certified GEG supplier partners include local SMEs from various industries, such as food and beverage, engineering, trading and environmental protection. With support from the program, these companies completed training and assessments for certifications such as the “M Mark” Certification, HACCP food safety management system and ISO 9001 Quality Management System, enhancing their quality management capabilities.
Additionally, GEG collaborated with CPTTM to introduce an innovative training model for the first time in the industry, offering tailored professional advice and guidance based on the specific business needs of SMEs. Among them, five local food companies participating in the “M-Mark” Certification successfully passed factory audits and product testing, meeting the required quality standards and achieving certification.
Peter Chow, Senior Vice President of Procurement and Warehousing of GEG, stated that GEG will continue to collaborate with CPTTM to advance the program. By taking pragmatic actions, the initiative aims to equip local SMEs with professional quality management knowledge and skills, thereby enhancing their overall operational capabilities and market competitiveness.
