Sands China hosted a special session of the “Distinguished Speaker Forum Series” at The Londoner Macao, offering team members key insights into the recently concluded Third Session of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), collectively known as the “Two Sessions.”
Approximately 3,250 team members – including Sands China’s senior executives, other team members and young participants of the company’s development programs – attended the forum both in person and remotely. Simultaneous English interpretation was provided to ensure full accessibility for the entire workforce.
Moderated by Dr Wilfred Wong, the Executive Vice Chairman of Sands China Ltd, the event featured five prominent guest speakers: Lao Ngai Leong, Ho King Lun, Lao Nga Wong, Ip Sio Kai and Dr Fanny Vong Chuk Kwan. These NPC and CPPCC representatives from Macau shared takeaways and insights that they gained from the sessions. Other guests of honor at the event included Sun Yaohua, director of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, and Chio Pou Wai, head of the Division of Youth Development of the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government.
The initiative is part of Sands China’s ongoing efforts to promote education in professionalism and strengthen team members’ knowledge of the business environment and national development in order to make essential contributions to Macau’s development into a world centre of tourism and leisure.
