- Sands China has supported the responsible gaming efforts of five local NGOs with a MOP 1 million donation.

Sands China has made a significant donation of MOP 1 million in total to five local social non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Macau. The funds will help these organizations promote responsible gaming and enhance their operations within the community.
According to the company, Sands China has consistently donated to local responsible gaming organizations since 2006, with its total contributions exceeding MOP 8.9 million.
The donation ceremony, held on 3 March at The Venetian Macao, was attended by Sands China’s Senior Vice President of Casino Operations, Andy Kobel, and Vice President of Concession Administration and Casino Compliance, Michael Lee.
They presented cheques to representatives from five responsible gaming organizations: the Youth Volunteers Association of Macao, Sheng Kung Hui Macau Social Service Coordination Office, Young Men’s Christian Association of Macau, Macao Gaming Industry Employees Home and Bosco Youth Service Network.
Kobel emphasized Sands China’s long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibility, supporting responsible gaming initiatives of local social NGOs for the past 20 years. These are aimed at enhancing understanding of responsible gaming among employees and the public.
Kobel expressed gratitude to the Macau SAR Government for its ongoing guidance and to the local organizations for their long-term collaboration.
Sands China’s responsible gaming activities include parent-child programs, financial management workshops, roadshows, training sessions, sharing forums, promotional videos, quiz games and community outreach days.
The company launched its self-exclusion program in 2004 and established its comprehensive responsible gaming program for all new employees in 2007.
