- Wynn and the Nanjing Institute of Tourism and Hospitality signed a cooperation agreement to jointly promote talent development.
- The cooperation aims to promote exchanges between teachers and students of the two places.
Wynn and the Nanjing Institute of Tourism and Hospitality (NITH) held a school-enterprise cooperation signing ceremony at Nanjing Royal Crown Hotel on 21 April, with a view to combining Macau’s international tourism experience with Nanjing’s educational resources through co-operation. The cooperation also aims to promote exchanges between teachers and students of the two places, the sharing of academic resources and the construction of industry training bases.
The signing ceremony was hosted by Yan Zhong, Director of the External Exchange and Cooperation Department of Nanjing Tourism Vocational College, while the agreement was signed by Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau Limited, and Cao Yang, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and President of NITH.
The cooperation signifies that the partnership between Wynn and NITH has been upgraded again, having first started in 2010. Over the years, the college has become an important collaborative college for Wynn to select talent based on its highly-regarded talent training system. Up to now, NITH has sent 45 students to Wynn for training and employment.
“The cooperation will make full use of Macau’s internationalized tourism experience and Nanjing’s educational resources, focusing on the promotion of teacher-student exchanges, sharing of academic resources and the construction of industry training bases,” said Chen in her speech.
She added that “through regular exchanges and internship opportunities, the cooperation will help young people broaden their horizons and inject new vitality into the cultural and tourism industries in the Greater Bay Area.”
The cooperation will be further deepened this year with the college organizing a special job fair at Wynn Palace and an immersive study tour to the property for 165 students.
