MGM x RR1HK Culinary Masters Macau 2025 showcases Michelin’s star power in the City of Gastronomy

  • Top Michelin chefs steered a 10-star epicurean adventure through East Asia at the 3rd edition of MGM x RR1HK Culinary Masters Macau.
  • The chefs showcased their culinary prowess against the backdrop of Macau, drawing over 150 high-end visitors into the city for the weekend.

MGM, in partnership with Robb Report Hong Kong, has hosted the “MGM x RR1HK Culinary Masters Macau 2025”, igniting Macau’s dining scene with a Michelin star-studded weekend from 7 to 8 June. Held at MGM COTAI and MGM MACAU, the event marked the third consecutive year of this culinary celebration in the “UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy” and “Culture City of East Asia 2025”.

Supported by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and the Cultural Affairs Bureau, this edition presented the theme “Flavors of Harmony: A Culinary Journey Through East Asia”. Six acclaimed chefs from China, Japan and Korea – collectively holding 10 Michelin stars – demonstrated their artistry, attracting over 150 high-end visitors to Macau.

2-day-1-night event offered participants a variety of programs spanning gastronomy, leisure, entertainment and luxury shopping at One Central Macau, including cooking sessions with celebrity chefs, liquor masterclasses, and Chinese Tai Chi classes

The lineup included Cheung Yat Fung, Kang Mingoo, Hiroki Nakanoue, Pan Sihui, Yang Dengquan and Macanese cuisine expert Antonieta Manhão. The highlight was an “8-hands” gala dinner where the chefs blended East Asian flavors into innovative, harmonious dishes.

Iwan Dietschi, Senior Vice President of Hospitality of  MGM, highlighted the event’s spirit of harmony, tradition and innovation, noting MGM’s commitment to bringing world-class talent to Macau.

The celebrity chefs of the event were invited to host a full-day culinary exchange program at the Macau University of Tourism on June 6

Tak Man, CEO and Publisher of Robb Report Hong Kong, praised the event for fostering unique connections through unforgettable culinary experiences and cultural activities.

Beyond the gourmet feasts, the event offered guests masterclasses, tai chi sessions, guided tours and luxury shopping. Importantly, this year also focused on nurturing Macau’s local culinary scene, with celebrity chefs leading a day-long exchange at the Macau University of Tourism, involving over 100 students, chefs and restaurateurs.
