Hailed as the highest honor in the Asian bar industry, “Asia’s 50 Best Bars” was held in Macau for the first time with the award ceremony taking place on 15 July at Wynn Palace.
As the official host partner, Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace presented a series of cocktail-themed events during the award week, attracting top mixologists and celebrity chefs from across Asia to infuse Macau’s bar culture with innovative energy.
The award ceremony took place in the Wynn Palace Grand Theater, featuring a red carpet and a reception cocktail hour. Guests enjoyed cocktails specially crafted by international brands and renowned mixologists as the list of winners was unveiled. Additionally, the Bartenders’ Feast, an annual tradition held the night before the main event took place at the Wynn Palace Event Marquee, brought together renowned Asian bars such as Wing Lei Bar, Tell Camellia and Bar US who each showcased their signature cocktails.
The week’s 25 events included the Inventors’ Laboratory, which invited bar industry icons Julio Bermejo, creator of Tommy’s Margarita, and Sam Ross, creator of the Penicillin and Paper Plane, to present creative cocktails.
The official closing party took place at Wynn Palace’s Fontana, where Wing Lei Bar collaborated with Cosmo Pony and The Curator to create special cocktails. Famous Macau candy Yau Kei Candy was also available, offering a taste of this traditional Macanese treat.
Wynn said that hosting the prestigious “Asia’s 50 Best Bars” award ceremony further solidifies the company’s status as a world-class venue for culinary events and underscores its commitment to supporting Macau’s vision of becoming a “Creative City of Gastronomy”.
