Co-organized by Melco and the Macao MotoSurf Association under the international sanction of the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), the “Melco Presents: 2025 UIM Macao Grand Prix MotoSurf World Championship” concluded after three thrilling days of competition.

The event gathered world‑class water sports athletes and combined food with local culture, attracting distinguished guests from the government and business sectors along with enthusiastic residents.
In its commitment to supporting the Macao SAR Government in promoting economic diversification, Melco said it strives to bring a diverse range of sports activities to Macao, fostering its establishment as a “City of Sports”.

Held at Hac Sa Beach in Coloane, the competition attracted 80 riders from 19 countries and regions, including strong delegations from mainland China, the Czech Republic, South Korea, the UAE and various other European and Asian nations. The competition featured seven categories: Elite (ages 16+), Masters (ages 40+), Stock R (ages 15+), Stock (ages 18+), Women (ages 15+), Junior Boys (ages 8–15) and Junior Girls (ages 8–15). Each athlete showcased exceptional skill and an unyielding sporting spirit.

This year, a brand-new Coastal Market was launched along the beachside promenade, offering local culinary delights, interactive workshops and a captivating sand sculpture performance. By partnering with local SMEs and NGOs, the initiative aims to enrich the spectator experience while highlighting Macao’s unique charm.
This year marks the second consecutive time Macao has hosted the MotoSurf World Championship Grand Final, a key highlight of the city’s annual sporting calendar. The event supports the Macao SAR Government’s policy of promoting “sports + tourism”.
