SJM Resorts, S.A. supported “Hubei · Wuhan Macao Week” – organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) at Wuhan Customs House Square – from 5 to 8 September. In conjunction with the roadshow, SJM and MGTO presented a series of culinary events in Wuhan, showcasing Macau’s unique charm as a “Creative City of Gastronomy” and promoting the powerful synergy of “Tourism + Gastronomy”.

The event was also supported by Wanda Reign Wuhan and Macau Beer, with Air Macau as a partner.
A media preview for the Macau-themed buffet and a gala dinner “Wuhan Savors Macao’s Magic: Shared Flavors of River Tides & Sea Moon” were held at Wanda Reign Wuhan on 4 September. The dinner was officiated by Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the MGTO; Dr. Paul Hung, President – Security, Surveillance & ESG of SJM; Si Qingchuan, member of the leadership team of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Hubei Provincial People’s Government; Cheng Wai Tong, Deputy Director of the MGTO; Zhou Tao, General Manager of Wanda Reign Wuhan; Nelson Ang, Vice President – F&B Service of SJM; Kay Chen, Director of Business Department of Macau Beer; and Victoria Un, General Manager of Marketing of Air Macau.

During the evening, SJM’s renowned chefs, Herlander Fernandes and Pedro Miguel Santos Do Carmo, demonstrated authentic Macanese dishes such as Macanese Style Fisherman’s Stew and Macanese Egg Tart and Cinnamon Ice Cream, immersing guests in the essence of Macau’s culinary culture.

SJM also curated a special performance, “Pinnacle of Fine Dining”, for the dinner, blending percussion and dance to tell the story of three renowned chefs meeting in Macau – rivals at first but ultimately joining forces to create a culinary feast of East‑West fusion.

A lucky draw segment was featured at the event, with attractive accommodation prizes at Grand Lisboa Palace delighting the winners. To conclude the event, SJM’s mascot “Sam the Rooster,” dressed in chef’s attire, made a final appearance to interact with guests for photos.
The acclaimed SJM chefs collaborated with the hotel to craft a Macanese signature buffet menu, offering Wuhan residents a delightful culinary journey to Macau from now until 8 October.

On the same day, SJM actively participated in a Travel Trade Mini Mart to gather market insights, engage with Wuhan’s industry leaders and partners, and explore traveler preferences, strengthening its outreach to the Central China travel market.
From 5 to 8 September, SJM participated in the MGTO’s “Hubei · Wuhan Macao Week”. showcased the distinctive facilities, outstanding services and diverse dining options of Grand Lisboa Palace and Grand Lisboa Macau, as well as the exciting arts, cultural and sports programs scheduled for the coming months.

Special limited-time travel packages tailored for Wuhan visitors were also introduced, together with a wealth of practical information about Macau, helping travelers better plan their trips. “Sam the Rooster” distributed limited-edition gifts to the audience – drawing crowds who stopped to inquire and take photos.
SJM said it remains committed to supporting the MGTO in expanding both domestic and international markets, aligning with the government’s “Tourism+” strategy. Leveraging its strengths as an integrated tourism and leisure enterprise, SJM added that it will continue to integrate art and culture, sporting events, gastronomy and entertainment to create richer, multidimensional experiences for global travelers. These efforts enhance Macau’s competitiveness as a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.
