The “Macau Artists Promotion Project” is a large-scale exhibition launched by the Macao Foundation in 2011 with the objective of building a platform to display the works of Macau artists. The exhibition lasted for nine days, showcasing the works of over 100 artists from Macau. The works include Chinese painting, calligraphy, western painting, photography, sculpture and more.

Mr Wu Zhiliang, President of the Macao Foundation, said, “This exhibition is dedicated to highlight the work of and pay tribute to Macau artists, who have worked silently and selflessly. We hope to showcase the cultural aspects of Macau to locals and tourists through art and culture.

“I hope that the art circles in Macau will continue to help each other and create more excellent works, and I hope this will inspire the young generation of Macau to continue to develop and innovate, and enhance the reputation of Macao as a famous cultural city.”
