On Tuesday 4 April, under the direction of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government (CLO) in the Macao Special Administrative Region, GEG hosted a sharing session related to the recent National People’s Congress (NPC) and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), collectively known as the “Two Sessions.” The sharing session, which was held at the Galaxy International Convention Center Auditorium, formed part of the GEG national education series.
Attending the event were Mr Yang Yi, Deputy Director of the Economic Affairs Department of the Macau SAR Chinese Liaison Office; Mr Sio Chi Wai, member of the NPC; Mr Lao Nga Wong, member of member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC; and Mr Francis Liu, member of the CPPCC and Vice Chairman of Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG).
In addition to bringing together about 650 GEG’s management team members from the company’s Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Hengqin offices, this year’s sharing session also included management team members from K Wah Construction Materials in Hong Kong, East China, North China, Yunnan and other mainland provinces, who all actively participated online.
The content of the event included an introduction of the Two Sessions, an in-depth analysis of the central government work reports, implementation of the principles of “One Country, Two Systems” in Macau, and Macau’s “1+4” economic diversification development strategy. This was followed by a question-and-answer session from GEG’s management team members.
GEG has held an annual Two Meeting sharing session for many years, with the company stating, “Over the years, we have actively encouraged team members and the younger generation to keep abreast of national conditions and gain a deeper understanding of the country’s development trends and opportunities.”
