Orbis Macau launches “Orbis Raffle Charity Sale 2023” to help the visually impaired

Orbis Macau, a Macau CSR strategic partner, will launch its annual fundraising event, the “Orbis Raffle Charity Sale 2023”, in late April. Funds raised will be dedicated to prevention work for visually impaired children.

Orbis Macau said, “The purpose of the charity event is to raise funds for the prevention of blindness for children living in developing countries, so that visually impaired children are given the opportunities to regain sight.”

Orbis pointed out that more than 90% of the raffle sale proceeds, after costs, will be directly used for pediatric ophthalmology programs and to support field teams in restoring sight for visually impaired children. The donations will go towards training ophthalmologists, medical staff, biomedical engineers and local medical and volunteer teams in an effort to change the fate of countless children.

This year the “Orbis Raffle Charity Sale” will run from 28 April to 30 June, and each lucky draw raffle ticket costs MOP$10.

For this year’s event, Orbis received help from many different institutions and collected 95 sponsored gifts with a total value of more than MOP$425,000 for the prize draw. The gifts include luxury hotel experiences, credit card spending, electrical appliances, air tickets and more.

Raffle tickets can be purchased from Orbis offices or designated sales points, and electronic vouchers will be made available at https://mac.orbis.org/en from 28 April.
