More than 300 representatives of local Macau SMEs (small and medium enterprises) recently took part in the “GEG SME Series: Innovating for a Sustainable Tomorrow”, held on 27 and 28 November 2023.
The two-day event featured seminars covering a variety of topics, followed by a one-on-one business matching session for Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) suppliers and local SMEs, including local technology enterprises certified under the Technology Company Certification Program of the Economic and Technological Development Bureau of the Macau SAR Government. This enabled further cooperation opportunities for the SMEs.
Seminars included a Day 1 session on Technology and Innovation hosted by representatives from Microsoft Hong Kong, who introduced Microsoft’s latest Generative AI and related services, as well as their business application.

Day 2 included a feature session on Green Procurement in which Dr Joe Chan, a nature educator, environmentalist and Vice-Chairman of Green Future, provided an overview of the global sustainable development trend and explained the country’s implementation of the “dual carbon goals” in a fun and interactive manner.
The GEG SME Series was held to assist local SMEs in enhancing their competitiveness while supporting their long-term development, adhering to Galaxy’s “Large Businesses Leading Small Businesses” model.
GEG considers local SMEs to be key partners and prioritizes them in business cooperation. As the first gaming operator to launch an SME partnering program, GEG has taken a proactive approach in organizing technical training opportunities, business matching and regular exchange activities for local SMEs, supporting their business development.
