GEG holds National Education Series activities throughout 2023, advocating the spirit of “loving the motherland and loving Macau”

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has been promoting national education to the community, thereby deepening the public’s knowledge and understanding of the country’s latest development and achievements, as well as advocating the spirit of “loving the motherland and loving Macau”. The company emphasizes that as a Chinese enterprise in Macau, it cares about the Chinese motherland.

This year marks the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the Macau SAR, and GEG is providing comprehensive support for an array of celebration activities. The “Olympics Gold Medalists Visit to Macau – Vitality March 2023”, sponsored by GEG, invited the National Olympics champions to participate in various local community activities. By allowing residents to interact with national athletes and better understand the development of national sports, the event aims to accelerate Macau’s integration into overall national development.

The National Olympics champion athletes joined a number of CPPCC members for visits to local schools, sharing their thoughts about the development of the country and Macau with students, as well as their experiences as national athletes.

In addition, the group of Champion Athletes also took part in the charitable fundraiser, the 40th “Walk for a Million” and took photos together with GEG team members. They were also invited to visit the historic Lai Chi Vun Shipyards, which GEG joined hands with the Macau SAR Government to revitalize, to experience the history of Macau and the fresh allure of cultural tourism.

During the celebration of the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, GEG supported and sponsored the Macao Gaming Industry Employees Home and the Women’s General Association of Macau in their organization of patriotic education activities in October, namely “Patriotic Education Carnival for Macau Gaming Employees”, “Knowledge Competition of National Education for Macau Gaming Employees”, “Patriotic Song Singing Competition”, and a patriotism-themed film screening event. GEG also organized team members to participate in the city-wide competition “Spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress Knowledge Competition of Macao”, held by the Women’s General Association of Macau.

GEG has consistently supported local associations organizing activities to promote patriotism. This year, GEG supported Grand Thought Think Tank in organizing a tour to commemorate the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China – the “Guangzhou Red Tour”. It also sponsored the organization to hold four themed seminars on national conditions and invited professional lecturers to share opportunities for the future development of Macau brought by current national development.

To deepen the younger generation’s understanding of national policies and development directions, GEG has title-sponsored and supported the “Galaxy Entertainment Group Macau Cup – The 15th Youth National Knowledge Competition” for 15 consecutive years, encouraging young people in Macau to acquire knowledge about national conditions. It even sponsored around 30 students and teachers who participated in the Competition this year so that they could travel to Beijing, cultivating more talented individuals with patriotic sentiments.

In addition, GEG also arranged students of the GEG Youth Achievement Program to visit and study in several Greater Bay Area cities, thereby enhancing their knowledge in the latest national developments.

Being the first integrated tourism and leisure enterprise to promote national education programs among young people in Macau, GEG continues to carry forward responsibility for patriotic education. Over the years, it has been promoting national education to its team members, local youths and the community through multi-pronged approaches, striving to advocate and bring forth the core values of “loving the motherland and loving Macau”.
