GEG enhances talent development with multifaceted educational initiatives

The Macao Polytechnic University’s scholarship award ceremony was held on 13 January, with Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) not only contributing scholarships but also sending representatives to attend the ceremony, demonstrating its commitment to comprehensive talent cultivation.

According to GEG, the company continues to cultivate outstanding local talent through various initiatives. This includes ongoing collaborations with tertiary education institutions in Macau and the establishment of scholarships and fellowships since 2005 to encourage university students to excel academically and supporting those facing financial difficulties.

Apart from the Macao Polytechnic University, GEG also donated scholarships and fellowships to the University of Macau, Macau University of Science and Technology, Macao Institute for Tourism Studies and University of Saint Joseph. These grants aim to support the further education of undergraduate students in various academic disciplines, such as MICE, sports and hotel and tourism management, in line with the Macau government’s “Building Macao through Talent Training” policy.

Additionally, in 2023 GEG facilitated visits to its properties for over 420 students and teachers from a variety of higher education institutions. These tours included interactive sessions with representatives from GEG’s various departments, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the management and operation of a large-scale integrated resort, helping them to explore various professional fields for their future career development.

For 15 consecutive years since 2008, GEG has been organizing the GEG Internship Program to support local interns in gaining work experience and enhancing their professional skills. GEG also launched the U-LEAD Graduate Internship Program for the fourth consecutive year to support the Internship Career Experience Program organized by the Labor Affairs Bureau of the Macau SAR Government (DSAL).

In yet another educational initiative, GEG jointly launched the “Integrated Resort Youth Development Program” with DSAL to provide comprehensive training and career development opportunities for Macau residents wishing to develop their careers in the integrated resort sector.
