More than 40 team members from various departments of Galaxy Arena, including entertainment services, entertainment operations, MICE operations and facilities management, participated in the two-day training program.

Led by 10 experts and trainers from stage performance related industries in the Greater Bay Area, the program did not only provide GEG team members with professional knowledges and the latest laws and regulations of the industry, but also covered a range of topics such as truss application, personal protection for work-at-height, medical precautions, fire and power use safety, and first aid. The goal was to enhance participants’ occupational safety awareness and professional competitiveness. Following the training and assessment, all participants successfully obtained the professional qualification of the Event Occupational Safety Card.

GEG hopes this program can reinforce the safety of industry practitioners and also contribute to the overall sustainable development of Macau’s entertainment industry.

The 16,000-seat Galaxy Arena is the largest and newest indoor arena in Macau featuring unobstructed views and equipped with high-definition broadcasting enabled by advanced technical infrastructure. Since its opening, the versatile venue has welcomed spectacular performances, in support of Macau’s establishment as a “City of Performing Arts”.
