- GEG held a three-part workshop series titled “Behind the Scenes of Star Cuisine”.
- The series aims to deepen the food safety knowledge of the local catering industry and team members.
This year, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) collaborated with the Macao Government Tourism Office and the Municipal Affairs Bureau to launch a three-part workshop series titled “Behind the Scenes of Star Cuisine”. Spanning three quarters, the series included themed sharing sessions, seminars and site visits aimed at enhancing food hygiene and safety knowledge and practices among Macau’s tourism and food and beverage industries, as well as related GEG team members. The initiative also fostered cooperation between the tourism and dining sectors.
Held at the Galaxy International Convention Center (GICC), the first module of the workshop series focused on food safety protocols and kitchen hygiene awareness. Through sharing sessions and seminars, participants gained insights into Macau’s food safety regulations, hygiene standards and case studies. Discussions centered around food safety culture development and best practices.
In the second module, participants took part in site visits to GEG’s central kitchen to observe large-scale food preparation, raw material handling and packaging processes. This provided a deeper understanding of food safety and operational standards in large integrated resorts.
The third module at GICC included themed sharing on ingredient and supplier selection, as well as transportation and receipt processes, emphasizing the importance of stable sourcing and consistent quality.
The whole series has attracted over 600 representatives from local tourism, F&B industries, SMEs, GEG’s suppliers, and multiple operational teams across different departments, receiving positive feedback from the local related industries.
GEG said it actively supports the Macau SAR Government’s efforts to promote “Tourism + Gastronomy” by enriching Macau’s positioning as a “World Center of Tourism and Leisure” through diverse exchanges within the local tourism and F&B industries via the series.
