Sands China recently organized a private screening of the film “Little Boyhood” at Cinema Alegria, drawing an audience of over 200. The attendees included team members, participants from the company’s Golden Age Programme for retired employees, interns from various higher education institutions, and members from the Macao Federation of Trade Unions and the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macao. The event aimed to stimulate reflection on traditional Chinese values and is part of an ongoing initiative to enhance employee professionalism.
This screening is the fifth in a series hosted by Sands China, aimed at strengthening the national identity among team members and deepening their appreciation for China’s historical and cultural heritage, as well as promoting traditional Chinese values.
“Little Boyhood”, set in Qi Kou, an ancient town in Shanxi Province, captures the rural essence of the Lüliang Mountains amidst China’s early economic reforms. This patriotic film depicts the simple life of the locals and follows rural youth as they form their own perceptions of the national anthem, showcasing their growing patriotic spirit and maturity.
