In mid-December, MGM invited Singaporean artist Jackson Tan to bring his marine conservation-themed inflatable art installation, “Art-Zoo Splashes of Joy” World of Wonders, to the Barra District. The initiative also includes eco-friendly workshops and retail elements to enhance the experience.
The “Art-Zoo Splashes of Joy” World of Wonders centerpiece of the installation is located within the iconic Dock Area in Barra District. Measuring 27 meters in length and 6 meters in width, the artwork integrates marine life imagery into three themed zones: Sunlit Zone, Twilight Zone and Midnight Zone. These interactive spaces allow children to immerse themselves in a vibrant underwater world through bouncing and play.
Another highlight is the large inflatable Bruno Bear, designed as an adorable scuba diver, which takes center stage on Barra Pond and captures the attention of visitors. Additionally, an inflatable submarine is set up to screen environmental films, combining fun with education about marine conservation.
To complement the project, MGM has organized a series of eco-themed activities. From now through February, weekend and public holiday workshops will offer families the opportunity to create colorful mini-flower pots and eco-friendly tote bags together. Local environmentally friendly SMEs have also been invited to the district to promote zero-waste shopping culture.
Kenneth Feng, President and Executive Director of MGM China, emphasized the company’s goal of aligning this event with other district initiatives to cater to diverse age groups.
“Along with Barra’s other activities, we hope to meet the needs of all ages in a bid to make Barra a more inclusive, warm and youthful community where everyone can enjoy wonderful moments,” Feng remarked.
