Melco hosts Spring Festival events to enrich community culture and festivities

Melco Resorts & Entertainment is hosting a series of Chinese New Year (CNY) celebrations at Mount Fortress Garden, showcasing Macau’s cultural heritage and festive traditions and celebrating the festive season with residents and visitors.

The “Blessed Mount Fortress” Spring Festival event runs from 29 January (CNY Day) to 12 February (15th day of CNY) and features a variety of activities, including costume photography experiences, Tang Dynasty attire and makeup workshops, an auspicious lantern wall and an interactive Fortress Fortune Telling experience. Visitors can also view a specially designed installation inspired by the “Edification of the Masses — An Exhibition of Cultural Treasures from the ZHOU • QIN • HAN • TANG Dynasties” exhibition at the Macao Museum.

Additional festivities include a Spring Festival food market, performances by the Macao Youth Chinese Orchestra, live band renditions of festive songs and appearances by the God of Wealth, spreading joy and blessings.

As part of the celebrations, Melco participated in the “Parade for Celebration of the Year of the Snake” float parade, organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO). The company’s float, themed “Year of the Snake”, is designed in Melco’s signature blue and gold colors, with geometric elements forming a serpent’s head and a coiling body reflecting the water slides at Studio City Water Park. The parade also featured a performance by more than 30 dancers, creating a vibrant spectacle.

The first float parade took place on the third day of CNY, while the second parade will be held on 8 February (11th day of CNY) from 8pm to 9:30pm, along the Estrada Marginal da Ilha Verde.

GEG supports Grand Thought Think Tank inauguration ceremony and seminar

On September 12, the swearing-in ceremony for the fourth-term governing bodies of the Grand Thought Think Tank, along with a seminar titled “New Opportunities and Pathways for Macau’s Development under the New Blueprint of the 15th Five-Year Plan”, was held at Banyan Tree Macau. Organized by Grand Thought Think Tank with partial funding from the Macao Foundation, the event received GEG’s venue support through the “GEG Venue Partnership Pilot Program”. Around 180 representatives from various sectors, organizations, and higher education institutions attended to discuss Macau’s future development opportunities.
