Leading tech event BEYOND Expo 2024 was held from 22 to 25 May at Cotai Expo at The Venetian Macao, focusing on global technological advancements and fostering a culture of tech innovation in Asia. Sands China was a supporting partner of the event.
The theme of BEYOND Expo 2024 was “Embracing the Uncertainties”. The global tech community gathered to explore innovation, entrepreneurship and international collaboration. The event featured a series of activities including summits, forums and fireside chats with industry elites, inviting participants on a journey of discovery.
One of the highlights was an inspiring fireside chat between Sands global ambassador and international celebrity David Beckham and Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Sands China, Grant Chum. Beckham shared his insights on blending personal passion with business acumen, emphasizing the importance of authenticity and social impact in today’s entrepreneurial landscape.
Following the chat, Beckham toured the expo and attended a gala dinner held at The Venetian Ballroom. Dr Wilfred Wong, Executive Vice Chairman of Sands China, delivered a welcome speech at the dinner, addressing the distinguished guests and reiterating Sands China’s commitment to supporting the development of Macau’s high-tech industry and the Macau SAR Government’s “1+4” appropriate diversification development strategy.
Other renowned figures and industry leaders sharing their insights at BEYOND Expo 2024 included Robin Zeng, Chairperson of CATL; Deng Yaping, Olympic champion and table tennis grand slam winner; and Guo Guangchang, Chairman of Fosun International. Asia’s pop sensation and founder of TEAM WANG and TEAM WANG Design, Jackson Wang, delivered a fireside chat at the closing ceremony on 25 May at The Venetian Theatre, sharing his valuable experiences and unique insights to inspire audiences worldwide.
