• Between April and June, Sands China held multiple celebrations for its long-serving employees.
• By the end of 2024, more than 15,000 Sands China team members will have served the company for 10 years or more.

Over 2,700 Sands China team members are celebrating their 20-year, 15-year or 10-year company anniversaries in 2024, with Sands China honoring them recently at ceremonies at Sands Macao, The Venetian Macao, The Parisian Macao and The Londoner Macao. Among them were more than 1,200 founding team members who joined the company before 18 May 2004, when Sands Macao was opened.

During these ceremonies, Sands China Executive Vice Chairman Dr Wilfred Wong and Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Grant Chum presented long service awards and extended Sands China’s gratitude for the team members’ loyalty and continuous contributions to the development of the company.

At the special celebrations for the founding team members held in April and May, team members were presented with a founder’s card, entitling them to lifelong Sands China benefits. Additionally, team members reaching their 20-year work anniversary received a special edition music box, special edition pin designed by a team member, a commemorative certificate and a gift certificate for an anniversary meal.

Employees with 15 and 10 years of service were also awarded trophies, certificates, gift certificates for an anniversary meal and other special gifts.

Sands China said that by the end of 2024, more than 15,000 employees will have served the company for 10 years or more. This includes over 6,600 employees reaching 15 years of service and 1,500 employees reaching 20 years of service. The company highlighted its dedication to promoting local talent, noting a significant increase in the number of Macau residents in management positions over the past 20 years. The proportion of local management has risen from 20% in 2004 to 92% currently. Additionally, female team members now make up 46% of the management team.
