• Sands China invited families from the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau to enjoy the first sailing of Cotai Water Jet’s new Macau Cruise Tour.
• The Macau Cruise Tour is a new Sands China initiative in support of the Macau government’s promotion of maritime tourism.

Sands China recently extended a special invitation to families from the General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macau’s Mong-Ha Community Centre, accompanied by Sands Cares Ambassadors, totaling around 40 participants, to join the maiden voyage of the Cotai Water Jet’s new Macau Cruise Tour in August.

The invited families enjoyed an approximately one-hour sea journey aboard Cotai Water Jet, which featured a navigational video introducing various landmarks along the route, such as the Macao Science Centre, Portas do Entendimento (Gate of Understanding), the Shaptsz Moon, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and the soon-to-open Ponte Macau (Macau Bridge).

Everyone enjoyed the experience of exploring the ship and learning about the responsibilities of the crew on the special sailing, and how passengers should respond during emergencies. They also visited the ship’s bridge, where the captain described his duties and explained the functions of the bridge’s various systems, such as the control tools, radar and electronic map.

A participating family member expressed joy at joining the tour, noting it was their first time on Cotai Water Jet with their children. They appreciated learning about the ship’s various systems from the friendly and patient crew and thanked Sands China for making the experience a memorable part of their summer.
