  • Two distinctive musical feasts were both under GEG Venue Partnership Pilot Program.

Galaxy Entertainment Group once again joined hands with the Federation of Associations of Cultural Sectors of Macau this year to present the “Macao Young Musicians Concert Series”. Two distinctive musical feasts were staged at Galaxy Auditorium at the Galaxy International Convention Center in June and October respectively, bringing an auditory banquet to Macau that transcends time and space, blending the ancient and the modern. Both performances were sold out, receiving thunderous applause and an electric atmosphere.

The first concert, held on 21 June, featured local young pianist Leung U Hin collaborating with Jai Lei, Principle Sheng Performer of the Macao Chinese Orchestra in “Summer Breeze – A Cross-Genre Musical World by Leung U Hin and Friends”.

Featuring an innovative fusion of Eastern and Western instruments, the concert seamlessly blended classical piano with the Chinese sheng, vividly capturing Macau’s multicultural character and offering audiences a dazzling summer experience.

First Concert

The second concert, on 12 October, featured young erhu virtuoso Chris Fong and guzheng artist Chan Pui Ian. Under the theme “Traditional Instruments, Contemporary Expression”, they performed a musical dialogue juxtaposing Eastern elegance with modern sensibilities.

The concert brought together over a dozen outstanding musicians, including Zhang Yueru, concertmaster of the Macao Chinese Orchestra. With a rich and multi-layered ensemble, they performed emotive and majestic musical chapters, repeatedly elevating the atmosphere to climactic heights.

Second Concert

Since its inception last year, the “Macao Young Musicians Concert Series” has held four events, providing a high-quality performance platform for local young musical talents.

These two concerts form part of the GEG Venue Partnership Pilot Program, taking place in the Galaxy Auditorium. This state-of-the-art venue, equipped with advanced audio-visual technology and seating over 600, enables Macau’s young artists to shine in a professional environment.
