Capella at Galaxy Macau has officially opened from Feb 10th, adding a new high-end accommodation option to the integrated resort Galaxy Macau. Embracing a residential resort concept centered on privacy and exclusive experiences, the hotel features only 95 suites and villas, fostering a more intimate hospitality atmosphere through its limited room inventory.

By integrating with Galaxy Macau’s existing world-class entertainment, leisure and dining offerings, it aims to further strengthen the resort’s positioning as an experiential travel destination in the region.
Francis Lui, Chairman of GEG, concludes: “Capella at Galaxy Macau’s architecture, service, gastronomy, and residential privacy create a singular experience for our top percentile of VIP guests, one that sets a new reference point for hospitality in Macau and globally. Our design and operations teams have worked tirelessly to bring the vision for Capella at Galaxy Macau to life in close partnership with Capella Hotel Group. Together, we have crafted the most intimate, elevated, and personalized way to experience our global entertainment and leisure resort offering; creating a true sanctuary, where every stay unfolds as a bespoke retreat, shaped by design, culture, and service at the highest level.”
Designed by the Paris-based architecture and design studio Moinard Bétaille, the hotel draws inspiration from the “Gilded Jungle” concept. Its exterior echoes Macau’s tropical landscape, while the interior employs soft curves and fluid lines to evoke imagery of waterways, light and shadow and rainforest canopies.
At the heart of the lobby is the “Tree of Life” – a visual symbol of life’s rhythm, complemented by multi-sensory digital art created by artist Laura Cheung and the handmade glass installation “Splash” by Czech brand Lasvit, all of which enhance an immersive arrival experience.

In terms of accommodation, the hotel offers two-bedroom and four-bedroom villas as well as a selection of suites. Select room types are equipped with private terraces and infinity pools. Guests can also enjoy 24-hour private butler service, a complimentary minibar and a range of premium in-room amenities.
On the culinary front, the whisky and cocktail bar “Pony & Plume” houses a collection of over 650 whiskies, while the 48-seat restaurant “Botanica” is helmed by Executive Chef Stephen Hsu. The hotel has also announced that Hong Kong Michelin-starred chef Vicky Cheng will open an independently operated fine-dining restaurant in 2026 – a development that has attracted considerable market attention.
