Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) was the title sponsor of the “National Gold Medalists Visit to Macau – Vitality Walk 2024,”. The event saw national gold medalists visiting local schools and communities while participating in the annual “Walk for a Million” charity event.

The delegation of 13 gold medalists included veteran athletes such as Su Bingtian, Pan Xiaoting, Wu Minxia, Zhang Yufei, Sun Jiajun and Wang Shun.

Over the two-day event, the athletes explored Macau’s rich history and culture. They visited the Lai Chi Vun Shipyards, which is being revitalized thanks to a partnership between GEG and the Macau SAR Government, to learn about the city’s shipbuilding heritage and to experience the intangible cultural heritage of “Saltwater Song”. The athletes also engaged with local youth during interactive visits to the Macao University of Tourism and Lou Hau High School, inspiring students to embrace resilience and the spirit of sports.

GEG organized the “Go for Gold” Treasure Hunt Game, inviting about 300 members from different local community groups to join the athletes in the exciting event at Galaxy Macau. Participants explored iconic locations through orienteering activities, fun games and trivia challenges.

Additionally, the gold medalists took part in Macau’s annual “Walk for a Million” charity event alongside GEG Vice Chairman Francis Lui and Director of Corporate Affairs Buddy Lam, and cheered for GEG team members, local groups and residents joining the charity walk.

GEG has been supporting the “National Gold Medalists Visit to Macau” series since 2013 and stated its ongoing commitment to leveraging its resources to promote local sports exchange, enhance Macau’s sports tourism offerings and support the city’s development as a “City of Sports”.
