Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) continues to promote the development of Macau’s food and beverage sector, supporting the city’s positioning as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. In addition to receiving long-standing recognition in the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau, GEG is lending full support this year to the large-scale international culinary event “2026 International Cities of Gastronomy Fest, Macao,” organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO).

The “2026 International Cities of Gastronomy Fest, Macao” will run for 10 days from 20 to 29 March and features five major highlights: the “International Gastronomy Promenade” food booths, the “City of Gastronomy Showcase”, the “International Gastronomy Forum, Macao” as well as two newly introduced zones – the “World Wines Lounge” and the “Global Goodies Market.”

Through an integrated “Gastronomy + Tourism + Industry” approach, the event aims to strengthen collaboration among cities, foster interaction across the industry and offer residents and visitors a one-stop culinary experience.
As one of the supporting organizations, GEG said it will send its chefs and food and beverage team from Galaxy Macau to participate in multiple key programs, including live cooking presentations, thematic discussions and community outreach activities. Through talent exchange and product showcases, GEG hopes to raise the visibility and competitiveness of Macau’s gastronomy sector.

Galaxy Macau will also operate a food booth at the venue, debuting with a concept design inspired by “The Gilded Jungle” of Capella at Galaxy Macau. The booth will present signature creations from Botanica, including a Lobster Roll and Pandan Ice Cream, alongside Galaxy Macau’s popular “photogenic” snack – the Giant Shrimp Rice Cracker – drawing visitors with highly recognisable offerings.

During the Fest, several culinary professionals will appear on different platforms. Daniel Chio, Sous Chef at Galaxy Macau, was recently selected as Macau’s local youth representative for the “Young Chefs Programme” organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. He showcased his skills alongside young chefs from different destinations on 20 and 21 March. He also took part in the “International Gastronomy Forum, Macao” on 23 March, and will share his perspectives on sustainable dining during an outreach activity co-hosted with local NGO the Fuhong Society of Macau.

In addition, Jan Ruangnukulkit, Executive Chef of Michelin Selected restaurant Saffron, and Crystal Lu, champion of a national tea ambassador competition, will represent Galaxy Macau in various demonstrations, highlighting the destination’s diverse culinary offerings and the breadth of Macau’s food culture.
In the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2026, Galaxy Macau and StarWorld Hotel collectively received five MICHELIN stars, reaffirming their strength in both cuisine and service. Sushi Kissho by Miyakawa, now in its second year of operation, retained its one-star rating. 8½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA and Lai Heen also maintained their one-star status, while Feng Wei Ju at StarWorld retained its two-star recognition.

GEG noted that these achievements reflect the team’s long-term commitment to culinary excellence and continuous enhancement of guest experiences.
GEG said it will continue to support Macau’s gastronomy events and talent development, strengthening the city’s connections with the global community through food.
